If you haven't taken the PDA plunge yet, now may be the time. Palm has recently released their latest, the Palm Z22, just in time for the demise of my first Palm, a Zire. At $100.00, the price is right. All the basics are covered; calendar, memo, notepad, address book, etc. Yet, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that a mom may not want or need. For a few more dollars, I purchased the air case which is now being offered for free with the Z22 purchase. Nice:).
Why use a PDA instead of paper? The main reason for me is to have a backup of my important information on my computer via Palm Desktop Software, and vice versa, my Palm is a backup of some of my important computer information. I also love the portability.
Before taking the plunge, you may benefit from looking at other PDAs. You may also want to look at upgrading from the start. Palm has a nifty Select a Model Wizard and I bet other makers have similar helps.
Two years ago when I purchased my first Palm, I paid $150.00 for a refurbished model plus $50.00 for a warranty. Now, for what comes down to ~$10.00 a month for one year, I have a fine tool to help me with my job as Family Manager and my vocation as wife and mother. Great deal.
